Day 1

St Peter Port

Your first port of call is St Peter Port our bustling harbour town, explore our beautiful town with a French twist. As you relax in one of our picturesque harbour side cafés and restaurants, look out for fishermen bringing in their daily catch, ready to be cooked later that day, using local ingredients such as wild rock samphire and seaweed. The town is within walking distance of the Victorian bathing pools, beaches, bars and boutiques.

Castle Cornet, St Peter Port

Enjoy a leisurely stroll through town before arriving at Castle Cornet, an imposing 800 year old castle complete with four museums and four period gardens. Stop by at 12 o’clock to see the scarlet clad castle keepers fire the noon-day gun.

The Islands Experience

Spend the afternoon experiencing our beautiful sister Islands. Sark, a lush and green Island just a 50 minute boat ride away from St Peter Port. Best seen by foot, bike or horse and carriage and surrounded by breath taking scenery. Or hop on the ferry to Herm for a 20 minute ride to a tropical paradise, with crystal clear waters and white sandy beaches it is easy to forget that you are still in the English Channel.Explore more: Why not stay the night? Sark is perfect for stargazing. Or there is no place more relaxing that Herm.

Day 2

Dive right in!

There are adventures to be had, whether you are exploring our impressive coastal cliff paths or taking a refreshing dip in our crystal clear, azure sea. You are never far from the shore, and your own private beach could be made a reality - with over 50 breathtakingly beaches and secluded coves to choose from. Swim, sunbathe, eat, relax, or walk around the island and explore the Islands of Guernsey.

Experience more: Kayaking, rock pooling, surfing and paddle boarding are just some of the things you can enjoy on our picturesque beaches.

The best sunset you’ve ever seen

Why not end the day by firing up a barbecue on the beach or make life easy and order fish and chips while looking out to sea. Possibly one of the most photogenic places on the Island, the sunset at Cobo is not to be missed.

Day 3

Walking Routes

Guernsey’s rich heritage means there is a plethora of award winning attractions to visit. Delve into the fascinating myth, folklore and history of our Island. Visit the museums or follow the trails and discover the Neolithic tombs and World War II bunkers. There are a series of self-guided walks which make the most of the very best the island has to offer. Discover tiny chapels, smugglers coves, forts, fairy rings and witches haunts. 


Liberation Day is the most important day in Guernsey’s calendar and commemorates the islands’ freedom from the German Occupation during World War II.

Celebrated annually on 9th May, the festivities provide an opportunity for islanders to remember the days of Occupation, which played such a monumental role in shaping both the landscape and the lives of the people of Guernsey.

Many events take place in St Peter Port and around the island on Liberation Day.  Full details are available nearer the time.
