London Underground campaign
We’re excited to announce that our London Underground campaign will go live at the beginning of July, running for two weeks across 18 key tube sites in central London. Designed to boost brand awareness, the campaign is expected to reach an estimated 7.1 million commuters and travellers.
With striking visuals, as seen above, and a clear call to escape the chaos of the city, the campaign invites Londoners to swap the heat and hustle of the underground for a serene, soulful getaway to our beautiful Islands.
VisitGuernsey bolsters French marketing campaign
To support the new ferry route from St Malo with Brittany Ferries, and Aurigny’s direct flights from Paris, work continues to ramp up our marketing efforts to help drive awareness and visitor numbers from France.
Our campaign includes television, radio, extending our live digital ads, and upweighting the visiting journalist programme to bring across more French travel influencers, all with the aim of increasing our bookings throughout summer and beyond.

Build links in Brittany: hot desk in St Malo
A new meeting room facility in St Malo is now available for Channel Islands’ businesses, industry groups and other organisations looking to build links in Brittany.
The Bureau des Iles Anglo-Normandes (BIAN) which represents the governments of Guernsey and Jersey in France, has secured two meeting spaces which are free for any organisation in Jersey, Guernsey, Alderney and Sark looking to develop economic, cultural or educational links with French stakeholders.

Strengthening our French connections
In May, we were delighted to welcome the Vice-President of the Normandy Region, Nathalie Porte, who is responsible for tourism and attractivity.
VisitGuernsey met with Nathalie to discuss aligning our tourism strategies and how we could work together more closely.
The VisitGuernsey team have been building relationships with several significant French stakeholders since Brittany Ferries took over the route to further boost our French connections.
New Victor Hugo Trails now live
The new Victor Hugo Trails have now been launched by the Victor Hugo Centre and are live on the VisitGuernsey app.
The trails are divided into two parts, the ‘Town Trail’ and ‘Cliff Trail’, and allow islanders and tourists to walk in Victor Hugo’s footsteps, with information boards and audio recordings.
Leaflets are also available from the Visitor Information Centre.

William the Conqueror 2027
A year-long event is being planned for the millennium celebrations of William the Conqueror in 2027. The event will celebrate the lasting influence of the Normans, not only in Normandy but across the United Kingdom, Ireland, the Channel Islands, southern Italy, Norway, and Denmark.
As part of the European route, which will benefit the island in terms of visibility, Guernsey will be offering a robust programme of events to encourage travel, storytelling, cultural exchanges and community engagement.
A delegation from Normandy recently visited the island and are delighted to have the Channel Islands on the network. They enjoyed meetings with VisitGuernsey, Guernsey Arts, Guernsey Museums, The Priaulx Library, Art for Guernsey, and States’ members.
