Guernsey Heritage Festival 2021

Changes have been made to this year’s Heritage Festival.

25 March 2021

Prior to this second lockdown, the dates of the Festival were Good Friday 2 April – Mon 31 May.

Given the uncertainty of the past few months, we’ve taken the decision to split this longer Festival into an Easter campaign and a shorter Heritage Festival.

The Easter campaign will be a roundup of the best things to do over the Easter weekend. These will be hosted on the VisitGuernsey website, and promoted via our social media channels (VisitGuernsey/States of Guernsey).

The planned revised dates for the Heritage Festival are Sat 1 – Sun 16 May, with a broader theme, focusing on our amazing GuernseyTogether spirit. See more here: visitguernsey.com/see-and-do/events-festivals/heritage-festival-2021/

Right now, we are living through a period of time like no other. So, while the Heritage Festival gives us an opportunity to remember and honour our Island’s rich and amazing history, we also recognise that this time, right now, will be remembered as significant for generation to come.

GuernseyTogether has been a visual tour de force, with rainbows in every window representing our solidarity. But it’s so much more.

It’s time to celebrate not just our amazing Island, but our amazing community, and those who makes it what it is.  Most importantly, it’s time well spent with those we love.

If you have already submitted an event, and it falls between Good Friday and Easter Monday and Sat 1 and Sun 16 May, it will be promoted as part of these campaigns. If your events fall outside of these dates, we will have been in touch with you to see if you would like to move your event or activity. If this isn’t possible, we will support and promote your event individually. We thank you, in advance, for understanding.

If you have any events already planned that you would like us to include in the Easter round up please do send them over, or links where we can get that information.

We would also be delighted if you would like to host an event for the Heritage Festival. If you need any help or support or want to join in but don’t know where to start, please get in touch, we are here to help. Please contact Stephanie Gordon by email: stephanie.gordon@gov.gg
