VisitGuernsey and Guernsey Ports celebrate new airport panels showcasing Island’s unique appeal

VisitGuernsey and Guernsey Ports are delighted to announce the installation of striking new panels along the external walkways at Guernsey Airport, welcoming visitors with a vibrant message: “Welcome to one island, get ready to explore five.”

18 November 2025

The panels feature VisitGuernsey’s creative branding and highlight the island’s diverse experiences, encouraging travellers to discover Guernsey and its sister islands Herm, Sark, Alderney, and Lihou. They also proudly display the “Home of” message alongside the logos of Guernsey Football Club (GFC) and Guernsey Raiders, celebrating the island’s strong sporting heritage.

Richard Thomasson, Airport Director at Guernsey Ports, said:

“This initiative is part of our wider strategy to rejuvenate the terminals and enhance the passenger experience. Working with VisitGuernsey and other local groups, we are embracing the creativity and talent across our community to help elevate our airport and harbour terminals. These new panels are a great example of that, providing a vibrant and welcoming sight from the moment passengers arrive.”

Zoe Gosling, Lead Marketing Officer at VisitGuernsey, said:

“This new imagery offers a warm welcome and gives a great first impression to visitors as they arrive, setting the tone for their stay. The Islands of Guernsey offer so much more than people expect, and this creative campaign reflects the excitement of exploring five unique Islands in one holiday.

“We have enjoyed working collaboratively with Guernsey Ports on this project and were pleased to incorporate both the Guernsey Raiders and Guernsey FC team logos into the artwork providing a very personal welcome to competing teams and supporters.”

David Buddery, Commercial Development Project Manager at Guernsey Ports, added:

“Our Ports provide a fantastic platform to celebrate local talent and provide a glimpse of what the Bailiwick has to offer. We are working closely with people across our community to bring our terminals to life through vibrant new imagery and creative installations - including a spectacular wall-to-wall mural which is soon to be unveiled in departures.”

Representatives from the island’s sporting community also shared their enthusiasm.

Nic Legg, Director of Commercial, Comms and Media for GFC, said:

"We're proud to see Guernsey FC featured in this initiative. Football is a big part of life here, so it's great to share that passion with visitors from the moment they land. We hope it inspires more people to head to Victoria Park, enjoy a match day, and feel the warm welcome we pride ourselves on."

Guernsey Raiders Chair, Gary Haycock-West, commented:

"We're really grateful to VisitGuernsey for their continued support. Rugby has a strong following in Guernsey, and being part of this campaign highlights the role sport plays in our community. We look forward to welcoming fans and visitors alike."

The panels are now in place and ready to greet travellers, reinforcing Guernsey’s message as a destination rich in culture, sport, and adventure.
