VisitGuernsey shortlisted at the Travel Marketing Awards
VisitGuernsey has been shortlisted at the prestigious National Travel Marketing Awards 2020 for their microsite dedicated to Victor Hugo’s life in Guernsey.
28 January 2020
The shortlist for the awards, in association with Chartered Institute of Marketing Travel Group, was announced on Thursday 16th January, with VisitGuernsey listed in the category for ‘Best Microsite or Website’.
VisitGuernsey launched the Victor Hugo microsite in April 2019. The microsite aims to capture the interest of those interested in Hugo and his work, and tie that interest to a holiday in Guernsey by showcasing locations that inspired him and the Hugo related attractions you can visit on the island. The site takes a story telling approach to Hugo's time in the Bailiwick, making use of specially commissioned art, historical photographs and quotes to help bring the experience to life.
The award winners will be announced on 9th March 2020 at a ceremony at the London Hilton on Park Lane.
A spokesperson for VisitGuernsey says: “To be shortlisted by these prestigious travel awards is a great achievement and we are extremely proud of the creativeness of the VisitGuernsey digital team and its agency partner TPA. The Microsite is a wonderful tool showcasing Victor Hugo’s life during his time in the Islands of Guernsey”.
The microsite is available in both English and French.
