VisitGuernsey website drives more than 300,000 referrals to local partners

Digital engagement has grown strongly this year, reflecting the success of our efforts.

We’re pleased to report a strong uplift in digital engagement this year, with partner referrals from the VisitGuernsey website reaching 306,486 - a 13.61% increase year-on-year. In total, more than 1.2 million users have visited our site in 2025, representing a 9.8% rise compared to 2024.  

Notably, more than 25% of those visitors have clicked through to our trade partner's websites, demonstrating the growing influence of our content and campaigns in driving direct interest to their businesses. 

A key driver behind this success is the Visiting Journalist Programme (VJP), which continues to deliver exceptional value. The recent Traverse conference is a prime example: influencer-led content from the event generated some of the most visited pages on our site, with the highest referral rates going to partners who hosted or featured in the trip. These authentic, experience-rich stories resonate deeply with audiences and convert interest into action. 

This surge in referrals demonstrates the impact of media partnerships and the VJP’s role in amplifying Guernsey’s appeal. We’re incredibly thankful to all our partners who help bring these media experiences to life, and we warmly encourage more of you to get involved. The more trips we can build using complimentary accommodation, activities, and travel, or preferential media rates, the more journalists and influencers we can welcome to the islands.
