We were invited on board the Azamara Quest during the ship’s call into St Peter Port on Sunday 16th June. A representative from the Guernsey Information Centre went on board and hosted a hospitality desk, in order to provide the ship’s guests with all the information they require for enjoying a day out shoreside in Guernsey.
The ship has been in service with the Azamara line since 2007, it carries just over 700 passengers, plus 410 crew members.
A plaque exchange took place on board the Azamara Onward on Wednesday 19th June. To mark the special occasion of the ship visiting St Peter Port for the first time.
Representatives from VisitGuernsey, States of Guernsey and St Peter Port Douzaine were delighted to go on board and meet Captain Carl Smith, to mark the ship's inaugural call.
The ship joined cruise line Azamara in March 2021 and underwent extensive refurbishment work before entering service in 2022. The ship can carry 670 passengers, with 400 crew. It boasts seven restaurants, cafes and lounges, a pool and spa.
VisitGuernsey marketing manager Chloe Steadman, said ‘We are always delighted to welcome new ships into Guernsey waters and their passengers to our shores. As well as host hospitality desks for the ships, in order to give passengers all the information they need to get the best out of their short visit to our beautiful island.’
