July UK PR round up

It’s been another very busy month for the team, with so much activity and opportunities to benefit from.

02 August 2022

We distributed four press releases during July:
• The Autumn Walking Festival release
• Risk Free No-Fly Guernsey Escapes release
• Herm Events Release
• Alternative festivals

Some coverage highlights included Love Our Wedding, Wedding Ideas, The Times, The Telegraph, The Independent and The I - Online.

July was a fantastic month for Guernsey’s athletes competing on the world’s stage. With Heather Watson at Wimbledon and Martin Yabsley at the XI FIMBA Maxi Basketball European Championship. Maya Le Tissier signed to Manchester United Women. Alex Scott represented England out on the football pitch, as the team recently became U19 European champions and Josh Smith competed in the European Men’s Under-23 Fastpitch Championship. And Team Guernsey headed to Birmingham for the Commonwealth Games.

Andrew Le Page and partner Tasha Ghouri made it to the final of Love Island, and we capitalised on this opportunity to reach a new audience, issuing media alerts and social content for the Original Love Island.

These fantastic opportunities give us the change to proactively and reactively pitch Guernsey as a holiday destination to new audiences across various media.
