VisitGuernsey launches new online travel training programme

VisitGuernsey is launching a new online training programme for travel agents. The course, built in partnership with Online Travel Training, features five modules designed to give agents the tools to sell the Islands of Guernsey more confidently.

04 February 2020

The new programme follows the launch of new brand and identity ‘The Islands of Guernsey’, revealed by VisitGuernsey at the end of 2019 to put greater emphasis on Guernsey’s five island visitor experience. Guernsey is the gateway to exploring the smaller sister islands of Alderney, Sark, Herm and Lihou, which are all easily accessible, either as day trips or overnight stays, by ferry, plane or on foot from Guernsey.

The five modules aim to highlight the diverse tourism offering offered by the Islands of Guernsey and incorporate: You’ve found the Islands of Guernsey, Why visit Guernsey, Five Islands, Events and Accommodation.

Each module is followed by a short quiz whereby on completion of all modules, agents will be rewarded with a certificate.  As an additional incentive, all agents who complete the course by 31st March will be automatically entered into a draw to win a break to Guernsey and experience the best of what the islands have to offer for themselves. The prize includes return flights and two nights’ accommodation in a four-star hotel.

The training platform also includes a useful Trade Tools tab including links to the VisitGuernsey image library, promotional videos, recommended itineraries and brochures.

Agents can sign up to the course here!
